For customers wishing to reduce spray volumes SAM offer the Spraying Systems Airjet. This twin fluid (water and air) system is designed for ease of use, unmatched accuracy and the ability to more than double the area covered with each tank load.

Twin fluid nozzles mix the air and water within the nozzle body to produce a droplet of the correct size. These large droplets, which contain 'included' air bubbles burst on contact with the target and scatter many smaller, more efficient droplets. This not only improves the target 'hits' but also improves the chemical adhesion to the target.

The use of coarser sprays with larger than normal droplets, reduces drift and improves efficiency.

Because twin fluid spray is so much more effective than conventional sprays, much lower water volumes are normally used. For instance 200lph is often reduced to 70lph.

A nominal 35% reduction in drift has been measured at Silsoe Research Institute. All SAM Airjet machines will spray conventionally.
