SAM offer the user the option of air assisted spraying on all its machines. Equipped with gullwing folding booms with working widths up to 28m the SAM Airstream can produce exit velocity from the fan of 40m/sec.

By using an angled air outlet the system can produce crop tilt to ensure excellent penetration of the most difficult crop canopy. Nozzle spacing of 1/4m ensures accurate droplet placement and an air pressure guage fitted in the cab as standard takes the guesswork out of pre-setting.

Power to the Airstream is provided by thte Deutz 188hp+ engine, allowing 55hp to drive the Airstream system without compromising the machine's overall performance. By using a closed loop hydraulic fan drive with an entegral cooler there is zero dynamic demand during conventional spraying.

The SAM Airstream addresses the two areas users of other systems have expressed concerns about, namely not enough power and not enough air pressure.

All this has been achieved without affecting any of the machine's normal capabilities, proven over thousands of hectares.
